ROOM ACOUSTICS
Residential
Homes designed after the 1970’s in Australia are mostly open planned, a style that is now an extremely popular configuration for residential interiors. Open concept describes the elimination of barriers such as walls and doors that traditionally separated distinct functional areas, in turn combining the kitchen, living room, and dining space into a single great room.
This popular concept living is generally coupled with the use of hard building materials, such as hardwood or tiled floors, and plasterboard or timber panelled walls. An open plan means no acoustic separation. You gain space and light from opening up the room. However, this also creates an inevitable acoustic challenge, an echo in your room, which makes it hard to hear with clarity. Echo Solutions will provide you with a solution to your acoustic problem that you can easily install yourself!
Commercial
Imagine an open plan café, restaurant, office or boardroom where people are just trying to be heard. These spaces are areas that generally echo, and are not pleasant to be in.
Open plan spaces have made cubicles and enclosed offices redundant in favour for collaborative and creatively engaging workspaces. The advantages include collaborations, networking, larger spaces and a more relaxed atmosphere. However, the disadvantages far outweigh these, providing distractions and plenty of noise, generally making it difficult to hear conversations within the office and via the phone.
Echo Solutions will provide you with a solution to your acoustic problem that you can easily install yourself!
Echo Solutions Acoustic Materials!
Echo Solutions custom fabricate all products offered. Echo Solutions only use Australian manufactured materials. Our acoustic materials are supplied to our Acoustic Panel fabricator, based in Melbourne, by two Australian Manufacturers; Autex Acoustics and Woven Image. The panels and partitions we offer are all made from 100% polyester fibres (PET). PET is commonly used for making clothing and bedding. The raw materials have been tested extensively. Working with our Acoustic Engineer, we have selected the materials that are most cost effective, and provide a level of performance that will offer the best result for the spaces we have earmarked and offer products for. The combination of the acoustic panels and their installation/backing plates, also made from 100% polyester fibres, gives us a unique, easy to use, peel and stick DIY installation method. The fabrics that we wrap our panels and partitions in are manufactured and supplied by Warrick Fabrics and Instyle, a combination of wool, polyesters, nylons, cottons blends.
